Chițimuș Costel is a young visual artist working on the art scene in Cluj-Napoca. Through his work, he aims to offer a depressing vision of real life, exploring, through the means of painting, certain visible problems of society and mankind on the brink of death: illegal deforestation, pollution, and vegetation fires. In the search for an authentic perspective on death, the activist field revolving around these disasters defines the artist’s studio work that ran concurrently with the exhibition.
