Marius FODOR

A large part of the subjects addressed by Marius Fodor present synthesized images of more or less familiar symbols, landscapes, portraits, and fragments of urban architecture. In general, the artist believes that the transposition of his subjects into a visual language has been, and continues to be, a matter of great importance from social, historical, and religious perspectives. Throughout time, such images have communicated historical events, customs of distant cultures, visions of ancient deities, or various lifestyles. In short, these images that illustrate the everyday represent the contemporary life of which the artist himself is part. For the creation of his works, he uses photography as a source of inspiration, as do many contemporary artists.

Undoubtedly, it would not be wrong to frame his works stylistically somewhere between classicism and modernism. Furthermore, in terms of technique, one can observe a blend between approaches specific to figurative art and those of abstract art. In this way, the artist generates a composition that transports the viewer into an ethereal world.
