The Polaroid once promised the ability to stop time, an instant image born from a hidden chemical process. Cristina Deva reopens this interior mechanism by intervening directly in the emulsion, adding pigments and triggering unpredictable transformations. The resulting works shift between the recognizable and the abstract, between control and chance, between memory and dissolution. Each image becomes a living organism caught in continuous metamorphosis.
